I’ve shared this countless times on Instagram, but I’m fairly certain one of my greatest fears in life is losing all of my photos.
Sure that may seem a little materialistic, but when I think about all of the memories tied to those photos :
My baby pics - reminding me of my earliest memories with my mom and dad.
Softball pics - reminding me of my glory days.
High school pics - reminding me of some of my longest friendships.
College Army ROTC pics - reminding me of when my military journey began.
Family reunion pics - reminding me of when times were simpler and full of love.
My last pics with my daddy - reminding me of the good times with him, before he passed.
First date pics for Blake and I - reminding me how quickly we fell head over heels.
Bringing Everly into the world pics - reminding me of becoming a mama.
Bringing Hadley into the world pics - reminding me how strong both she and I truly are.
Our pups’ pics - reminding me that dogs truly are a man’s / woman’s best friend.
And all the pictures between.

I can’t imagine losing those tangible memories.
When someone asks the cliche’, “so what would you grab if your house was on fire?”
My answer is always the same: “Aside from my kids and animals, I’d grab my photo albums, and my planner…so at least I won’t miss my dentist appointment.” hehe.
Truly, for anyone who loves and adores pictures, they’re such a huge part of our lives.
And if you’re reading this, I’m guessing they’re important to you too.
They say “a picture is worth a thousand words” and I firmly believe that.
It’s incredible how one still image can convey the fondest memories.
How it can remind you of the smell in the air that day.
How a facial expression can remind you of how happy you felt in that moment.
How it can remind you of trains in the distance, birds chirping, or calm ocean waves.
How it can remind you of both fonder times, and sadder, but a time worth a photograph nonetheless.
These are all the reasons why I never want to lose my photos, and how Chatbooks helps me do just that.
Technology is not a guarantee, and while I do own my blog space here, I don’t own my instagram, and I’m always afraid something will happen and I’ll lose all my IG images. Let’s face it, that’s where all of my best pics are!
I also spend a LOT of time writing my captions for each pic, because writing is so therapeutic for me and I truly do take the time to write my words. So it’s almost like my life journal as well!
Chatbooks is able to pull my images (AND) captions straight from Instagram, so I don’t have to come up with any captions or dates for the images! Or, it can just be a full page picture. I love that! Once you connect your account, you can set up an automated series where every 60 pictures, the app will automatically create a book and send it to you!
Did I mention…
The books start at just $10!!!
I also love that there are so many different cover options too! I love that you can coordinate them with your decor!
Now obviously, the more pictures / pages you do, and if you get a book hardcover vs. soft the price goes up BUT I’m telling you…to me every penny I spend on my books is SO WORTH IT!!!!!
I get about 300 pages printed in each of mine, so they’re definitely pricier, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything. I also get the 8x8 hardcover, in case you’re wondering which style I choose!
It can also pull pics straight from your camera roll and other drive links, which is so intuitive and user friendly! They really make it easy and do all the work.
All you do is download the app, connect it to your Instagram account or your preferred method of importing pics, and start creating! It’s so easy!!!
I personally think it’s the perfect gift too; I’ve given them to my mom and in laws for holidays (think Mother’s / Father’s Day filled with pics and memories of your parents with grandkids!) and it’s also a great way to make a special book for a special family vacation. How precious would a book be of your favorite family beach trips with one of their custom beach covers!?!
P.s. if you want to reference this post in the future, be sure to pin it so you can always come back to it! Here’s an image for you to pin, so you don’t forget where to find the post and the code!
So, happy photo bookin’ friends!

Amy
