What is The Memory Maker bag?
It’s a book bag style duffel bag, eco friendly, and made out of recycled and natural colored cottons in the USA. They feel like a thick high quality canvas. Made with your memories in mind.
Cover them in tangible nostalgia (pins, patches, buttons) to spark emotion and memory from your life’s adventures.
It’s a wearable scrapbook. A living piece of art. But a practical one! Not something that’ll sit on your shelf for years untouched.
A reusable bag for groceries, to collect seashells in, to take to the farmers market, to trick or treat with, to stuff presents in under the tree, to go to the library with, to collect Valentines in, to go on Easter Egg hunts with, to take on plane rides with, to go to Disney with, to climb mountains with, to take to dance and soccer practice with, you name it.
MADE IN USA.
CARE: While we do not recommend machine washing these in a machine, you can easily spot clean! I rubbed ours all in the dirt then scrubbed them with water and a mild soap and it all came right out! If you plan to use the bags often, and will spot clean often, we recommend sewing patches as the soap and water could wear on the iron glue.
Sizing: The adult bags are 21” long and recommended for 15 years +.
INSPIRATION: Each memory maker bag’s style selection was inspired by the traditional military duffel bag issued to all service members when joining the Armed Forces. They are generally issued to service members upon entering the service, and usually stay with each service member until they are discharged. They go with them through training, to the field, on deployments, on homecomings, on every move, everywhere. Making memories all along th away. Picking up stains, rips, and grime, but holding together nonetheless through it all. And when we though about what kind of bag we wanted to travel with you and your littles through all of your memories, we knew that a duffel style bookbag was exactly what we wanted to honor our Armed Forces and to pay tribute to their sacrifice for serving our nation. So with a nod to every military kid out there, who learns to go with the flow and make memories wherever the road leads you, we salute you with our bags. You are strong, resilient, courageous, and brave while mommy and daddy come and go. Thank you.
SPECIAL USE: Each bag is intended to be used for your memory making adventures! But we also hope they do good things for the planet. They are made out of recycled and natural cotton and work great for grocery store runs too! We’re big believers in doing good things for our precious planet, so we encourage you to use reusable bags when shopping.
SAFETY: Please remember that pins and buttons are sharp! In each of your packages, you’ll receive a card that states our pins are not intended for little babies. Please use parental discretion and supervision with all of our products! We encourage you to use the time upon receiving any pins to teach your babes (of all ages) about sharp objects and how to properly handle them. While these bags are not intended to be toys, we know that they could be used in play time. So please be mindful of that! We even suggest super glue or hot glue for your pins to secure them to your bags if they’ll be handled often by little hands.
FUTURE UPDATES: We hope to add a pocket and adjustable straps in the future!
MY STORY: I’ve always been a scrapbooker. I’ve always collected patches, pins, stickers, and buttons on vacations, trips, at sporting events, national parks, etc all while making memories. I still even have some of the first airplane wings I received on a flight as a little girl. As a military family, we’ve been everywhere and I’ve collected so many as an adult now too for the kids and I. But I’ve never had anything quite special enough to collect them on. And that’s where Amy’s dreams come full circle. In 2017 I set out with a vision to have a Made in USA duffel bag, inspired by the traditional duffel bag issued to all Soldiers when they join the service. We hit a few bumps in the road, and necessary delays to get here, but 3 years later we’re here. We are finally launching this baby that’s been prayer over more times than I can count.
